ACI Palmižana (49° 09.5'N; 16° 24'E)
ACI Palmižana is the cutest Marina in Croatia, as far as I am concerned. And it is a great escape from the busy, overcrowded, noisy harbour of Hvar Town. ACI Palmižana runs a regular watertaxi service to Hvar (2.5 nm away).
The bay is well-protected against winds and waves from all directions, although southwesterlies can bring serious tidal differences. Northeasterlies (Bura) bring a light swell.
Just outside the bay is ‘Baba’ rock, which is marked by a large beacon (black-red-black with two black balls). At the entrance to the bay, there is an ACI-sign. The marina is open from mid-March to end of October. The official ACI website can be found here.
