Lučice (43° 18.1'N; 16° 27.2'E)

This bay is perfect for a first stop-over after leaving Split in the afternoon. After passing Splitska Vrata (the channel between Brač en Šolta), it is the second bay in easterly direction along the southern coast of Brač. You are not allowed to anchor here, but there are moorings available. Prices for a one night stay in 2009:

  - 150 kuna for a ship < 39 feet

  - 200 kuna for a ship of 40 - 49 feet

  - 250 kuna for a ship of 50 - 55 feet

  - 300 kuna for a ship > 55 feet

These prices were valid from 15 July until 31 August 2009. Outside that period there is a 20% discount.

Prices have risen considerably over recent years. Prices for a one night stay in 2007:

  - 70 kuna for a ship < 35 feet

  - 90 kuna for a ship van 36 - 44 feet

  - 100 kuna for a ship van 45 - 55 feet

  - 120 kuna for a ship > 55 feet

As an extra service, garbage is collected and fresh bread, milk, or a newspaper (Croatian, that is) can be delivered in the morning. There is a small restaurant that got a recommendation by More Magazine (Croatian sailing magazine) in 2007. However, local sources were not enthusiastic in 2009.

Because this bay is well situated for a first stopover after leaving Split, or a last stopover before returning to Split, it can be rather busy. Especially for the nights Thursday to Friday and Saturday to Sunday.

The bay is sheltered from all directions.
