Milna - Brač (43° 20'N; 16° 27'N)

Milna is situated at the deep end of a bay on the western side of the island of Brač. The white square tower with its red beacon on the northern side of the entrance to Milna cannot be missed.

Milna harbour is well protected against almost every possible wind. The outer section of the bay is vulnerable for Bura and Tramontana winds, which can cause considerable swell. In the harbour itself, only a strong NW-wind can cause some swell.

Because this bay is well situated for a first stopover after leaving Split, or a last stopover before returning to Split, it can be rather busy. Especially for the nights Thursday to Friday and Saturday to Sunday.

Milna has all sorts of facilities: a nautical gas-station, shops, post-office, ATM. There are two harbours. Deep in the bay you find an ACI Marina. Most of the village quay is included in this marina, there are no moorings left in Milna harbour that are not part of the ACI Marina. Further west, on the entrance to Milna bay on the northern shore, you will find another small marina.

Below you find some pictures of the small harbour at the entrance to Milna bay.
