Rogoznica & Marina Frapa (43° 31'N; 15° 58'E)
Marina Frapa All I need in a marina is a mooring, fresh water and some electricity. It has become a sport to use as little diesel as possible, so I prefer not to charge my batteries that way. And charter yachts usually don’t have solar panels or a wind generator. Also, a shower is nice every now and then to get the salt out of my pores. The rest, in my humble opinion, is obsolete. And that makes a lot of Marina Frapa services (and of more and more other marinas) obsolete. I mean, who needs: a jewelry store, some clothing boutiques and souvenir shops? I don’t.
It looks nice, though. And the showers are good. And the tariff is western-European. There is not much I will have to write about it. Here is their website.
Rogoznica Rogoznica is a former island, connected to the mainland by a dam. Marian Frapa is to the west of the island. According to our Pilot Guide, the bay on the other side of Rogoznica island should be an excellent anchoring spot. After inspection, we do not agree. The coastal line is completely covered with holiday homes at various stages of completion. Not much authentic nature left this way! Unfortunately, you see that in many places along the Croatian coast. As far as I am concerned this is a no-go area!
